With the knowledge of reincarnation, we know that we will be punished no more or less than what we have done to others, in this lifetime or another, in fact, our good deeds that we may help others with, are also returned to us, in like manner.
Jesus showed us how to treat our fellow man, by the way that He treated his fellow man.
Jesus said in Matt. 7: 1-2 Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. considering reincarnation, (the judgment, which it is!) this verse rings true.
Having erased the true 'judgment' from the Bible scrolls, The Pharisees replaced it with the only 'judgment' they could see, the fires of Gehenna, burn, garbage, human and animal, especially in times of a plague, and in times of shame, when children were sacrificed to the god Moloch. So where you body lies, in the eternal fire, and they knew that the soul does not die, equal eternal torcher.
Jesus said ... Do unto others, as you would have others do unto you, for this is the 'Law' and the prophets.
That verse is said in so many ways, by so many prophets and holy books throughout the world. It refers to the 'law' of Karma. It blows apart the notion of such a thing as one 'true' religion, as well as the notion of hell.
Hell does not at all, ring true with the fruits of God's Spirit, it is not 'Kind' 'Loving' 'Forgiving' or 'Tolerating'. "Ye shall know them by their fruits." This refers to people as well as idea's, concepts.
